On the 28-29th October 2018, Voces Academy will be exploring the rich British choral tradition with one of Britain’s leading conductors, Neil Ferris; Chorus Director for the BBC Symphony Chorus and Artistic Director of professional London-based chamber choir, Sonoro. Throughout the weekend Neil will introduce highlights from the British choral literature in two exciting events – a Repertoire Day and Conducting Masterclass.
Repertoire Day

Conductors, music teachers and choral singers are invited to join this full day workshop in which Neil will take us on a musical journey. From Tudor classics to new 21st century gems, we’ll meet works by many composers including Stanford, MacMillan, Mealor, Ireland and Todd, all brought together in a comprehensive choral repertoire package that is yours to take home.

Masterclass with Neil Ferris
Sun 29 Oct, 1pm – 5pm
Neil is a highly respected and sought after teacher with a wealth experience. As Head of Choral Conducting at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, he developed an internationally respected postgraduate programme and is in high-demand as a masterclass and workshop leader worldwide.

Participation Fees
Repertoire Day – 350 DKK
Masterclass Participant – 1500 DKK
Masterclass Observer – 800 DKK
Fees for masterclass participants and observers include attendance at the Repertoire Day and a special invitation to observe the Voces Academy conducting class on Friday 27th October, 3-6pm, where Neil will be a guest teacher.
All participation fees include a choral repertoire package.
