Conductor for a day – 9 May

Have you ever dreamed of conducting a choir?

A special opportunity for talents in conducting, young musicians with leadership abilities and choristers attracted by the conducting role.

Voces Academy offers an intense day of learning choral conducting and an introduction to the art of musical leadership. Come and experience the work of a conductor.

You will get:

  • Training by internationally recognised conductor and pedagogue, Peter Hanke, and the Voces Academy conductors
  • An experienced conductor as a personal mentor for the day
  • The chance to conduct the Voces Academy singers
  • An opportunity to conduct a short performance within a safe environment
  • Repertoire is a selection of four-part Tudor-anthems and partsongs by Mendelssohn and Stanford

Rehearsal with the choir

Up to five promising conducting talents will be selected from the group to perform together with the professional singers, mentors and volunteers from in the Voces Chamber Choir.

Observers are welcome to join the presentation – admission is free
