The Voces Chamber Choir is a newly-established, London-based ensemble devoted to achieving excellence in choral singing whilst fostering talent development for young choral musicians and inspiring audiences to embark on a deeper exploration into choral music.
Consisting of 24 members in total, the core of the chamber choir consists of eight professional singers who take the role of mentors, section leaders and soloists. The remaining members of the choir will consist of sixteen volunteer singers who envisage a professional career in vocal ensemble music and are interested in making strong connections with the current professional industry. Repertoire will consist primarily of advanced a cappella repertoire with oratorio work as opportunity emerges.
Singers will be mentored by a team of experienced, professional singers who all currently work with London’s top, respected professional choirs, including the BBC Singers, Monteverdi Choir, The Sixteen, Tallis Scholars, I Fagiolini and the Dunedin Consort. Voces Chamber Choir will offer aspiring professionals the opportunity to sing with an high-level ensemble, gain significant training in all aspects of advanced ensemble skills along with valuable networking and career prospects.
Through an innovative programme of mentorship between singers and conductors, Voces Chamber Choir aims to be one of the leading chamber choirs in the UK and a highly respected independent educator for the next generation of elite choral musicians.
